Grown in the serene orchards of Michigan and New York, the
powerfully tart Montmorency Cherry contains the highest levels of
health giving antioxidants of any other fruit on the planet.
So you can forget about the other supposed super fruits being touted right now.
Despite their small size, tart cherries are among the biggest of the super fruits
in terms
of the quality
and quantity of their nutritional and health benefits. To be truthful, few foods
even come close. These deliciously tart beauties really do pack a punch. That's why they are
called America's Super Fruit™.
The creation of CherryPharm starts with the orchard-to-bottle freshness of whole tart cherries. We then use a proprietary Nutrient Retention Process, created by food experts at Cornell University, to extract juice from the whole fruit. Why? Because a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition shows that the nutritional powers of fruits and vegetables are significantly greater when consumed as close to their natural state as possible… rather than when in a concentrated, encapsulated, or powdered form.
With CherryPharm you get only real tart cherry juice - never ever from concentrate. Each bottle made fresh to order when you’re ready to buy. So fresh, in fact, that it tastes just like a perfectly ripe cherry plucked from a tree in your backyard. Now that’s about as close to homemade as it gets.
Hundreds of medical studies performed over the years have consistently shown that a diet rich in antioxidant foods may help stimulate your immune system. This natural health boost may lower your risk for specific diseases, many of which are brought on by the body’s inability to battle ‘bad’ molecules called free radicals.
Studies on the nutritional and antioxidant benefits of tart cherries have
suggested they may hold natural potential with regards to several conditions. Because tart
cherries also contain natural melatonin, they have been shown to possibly improve
sleep. They also help athletes and active people recover more quickly
from muscle damage caused by exercise or other demanding activities (also called oxidative
stress).

Chances are you’ve heard people talking about how cherries and cherry juices changed their lives. Or saw on the news how sports teams, celebrities, athletes, and others seeking optimal health have added cherry products to their daily routine. To see emerging and promising results for yourself, we invite you to review clinical research compiled by the experts on the tart cherry.

Some studies have shown these naturally occurring compounds may help reduce inflammation. Anthocyanins give fruits and vegetables their vivid colors, and are what make plums purple and cherries red. The darker, deep red and blue fruits usually have higher values of antioxidants, with tart cherries shown to have among the most of any fruit.

Among the most powerful plant-derived antioxidants, it is believed that phenolic acids may play a protective role against oxidative damage conditions. One of the best known phenolics is called tannin – an antioxidant component found in red wine. Phenolics are essential for the growth of plants, and are produced to guard injured plants from harm.

Developed by chemist and physician Dr. Guohua Cao, the ORAC rating is a laboratory analysis that provides an overall measure of a food's ability to absorb and neutralize free radicals. The higher the ORAC score, the greater the food's effectiveness as an antioxidant.
Often referred to as one of the popular antioxidants in dark chocolate and red wine, flavanols (or flavanoids) are a unique subset of phenols with antioxidant powers that may improve blood circulation, reduce the risk of blood clotting, and lower blood pressure.

In nature, plant hormones (also known as phyto-hormones) are chemicals that control plant growth. They dictate the overall shape the plant, its seed growth, length of flowering, the sex of flowers, and natural aging process of leaves and fruits. These hormones may help regulate physiological functions in humans, as well.
Believed to be the building blocks for a strong immune system, vitamins and minerals enhance basic metabolic processes across the body spectrum, and are essential in creating biological pathways that aid in effective communication among genes, molecules, and cells. Those found in CherryPharm include Vitamin A, Potassium, Iron, and Calcium.
Derived from the resin of plants, terpenes provide essential oils that are widely used as natural flavorings for foods, as fragrances used in perfumes, and in alternative medicines such as aromatherapy. Aside from giving cherries their delicious fruit flavor, some studies suggest that terpenes may also possess natural anti-inflammatory properties.
